Direct PDF Print

I have a Xerox 8560 that I am trying to do a direct pdf print to. I get an error that it isw not configured for direct dpf printing. Is this something that needs to be enabled? How would I enable this?

Re: Direct PDF Print

Hi DaveSchultz,

sorry for asking but can you quick describe the method you are using to print "Direct PDF".

If you are using LPR command, make sure port 515 is open on the printer.

If you are using CWIS (web-page) this should work without need to enable any additional options.

Re: Direct PDF Print

It is copying a .ps file to the UNC share of the printer.

Re: Direct PDF Print

I am afraid I might not be familiar with the process you are described.

Couple more questions might help defining the scenario.

Are you trying to print .PDF file or a .ps (postscript) coverted file?.

UNC share... Do you mean using explorer > Insert the ip address of the printer and establish a connection to the printer? If so you should only see a printer. Are you attempting to drop the .ps file in there?
