Re: Direct PDF printing prints a banner page when the printer is settted up not to print one...

Hi NickR,
Thank you for using the Xerox forum.

I would suggest that you review the Xerox support site and see if the solutions there can help.

Each product family has numerous solutions and links for additional expert support.

I searched the 5655 product page and returned some interesting possibilities shown below.

Direct PDF printing prints a banner page when the printer is settted up not to print one...

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi!

Some of our Xerox WorkCentre printers print a banner page when we send print jobs to them using Direct PDF printing.

A WorkCentre 4150 and a WorkCentre 5655 have the problem while a WorkCentre 5645 does not have it...

The jobs are sent using a UNC share on our printer servers.

What we spool to the printers are essentially PDF files preceded by PJL commands to set the duplex, job name and job language (in this case PDF).

The printers are setted up not to print banner pages so we don't understand why those banner pages are printed..

How can we fix this?

If adding additional PJL commands is required we can add them as the print jobs are sent from one of our in-house application...

We cannot continue printing those useless banner pages...

Thank you!

Nick
