Re: Disable Configuration Report printing on startup

Jump to solution

Thanks Gabi,

Could I suggest that this is automatically set to disable? We're trying to save money by switching power off overnight, and now I have a half inch stack of waste paper config reports.

This solution is needlessly complicated and not written in plain English

STEP 1. In Xerox® CentreWare® Internet Services, click Properties, click Services.

Great - except it's not possible to access Centreware internet services.

Here are the instructions

How To Access CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS)

Article Id: 1852141 | Published: 03/18/2021

Product support for
    • WC5945_WC5955 Family

    • WorkCentre® 5945/5955

  • WorkCentre® 5900i Series
  • NOTE: CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS) is the Embedded Web Server on the printer used for device configuration and administration.

Login to the System Administrator Mode Using CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS):

    1. Open a Web browser window.
    2. Enter the printer IP Address in the Address field then press the Enter or Return key. The CentreWare Internet Services window will be displayed.

Enter Printer IP Address in Web Browser Address Field to Access CentreWare Internet Services

    3. Select on Login in the upper right corner of the page.

      CentreWare Internet Services Login Screen

    4. Type admin in the User ID field.
    5. Enter the administrator password in the Password field.

NOTE: The default password is 1111.
    6.

THIS DOES NOT WORK.

Bearing in mind, all I'm trying to do is to stop it wasting my paper

Hi,

From the B210 Printer User Guide:

1. In Xerox® CentreWare® Internet Services, click Properties, click Services.
2. Click Printing -> Device Start-Up Page.
3. To disable the Startup page, for Device Start-Up Page, select Disable.
4. Click Apply

Having the exact same problem with the same printer.  This may wind up back in Amazon's warehouse.  I just want to plug a printer into my USB port and print at home.  I'm not networked so I can't use the Xerox solution.  Ricoh or someone else may be getting some money shortly.

I have the same problem, but with a new B210 which doesn't have a display. I found some hints online that I need to get into the setup via IP address, but my browsers don't take me there. All say "took too long" - I find it really bizarre 30 years after I bought my first printer that this one prints an unwanted page each time you switch it on, and apparently all Xerox printers are so stupid. I wish I had known before... anyone can help?

OK. I have managed to find out myself how to do it. For the benefit of anyone else who encounters the same problem  here is what you need to do. Start by pushing the information button on the printer, the one that has the square symbol with the letter i in it then follow the instructions below.

It can be done at the printer via Machine Status > System Setup > OK >  Machine Setup > OK > Configuration Page > OK > OFF > OK > Stop

Product Name: Xerox B205 Multifunction Printer
Operating System: macOS 10.13 - High Sierra

Just purchased this printer but every time I turn it on it prints a Configuration report. Cannot work out how to disable that function. Can anyone offer any advise?
