Hi planet_rob
It is highlighted here, which is found in Start > Devices and Printers then right click the driver to the queue you want and select Printing Preferences > Media
" One tip here is to go into your default settings for the hold queue and select the check box there, then you don't need to remember to do it every time."
Sorry to bump this old thread, but can someone tell me where I can find the above in Fiery so that I can turn on Tray Alignment as always on?
Hello pbmsol,
First I want to make sure I have the right product because there is a DocuColor 7000 series and there is a Xerox 700 Digital Color Press. I'm not sure whether you meant to type seven thousand and it came out seven hundred or you have a Xerox 700 Digital Color Press and not a DocuColor product.
Aside from that, how much skew does your output have? If there is more skew than the printers software can correct for then I'm wondering if the paper guides in the paper trays are snug against the paper stack and "locked" in place. When you position the paper tray guides against the paper stack in the tray you should be able to wiggle the paper guides without them moving away from the stack. This would indicate that the guide hasn't fully engaged in the slot and "locked" in. This can cause skew when the paper is pulled from the tray for printing.

How can we get a higher option to skew our prints on our machine?
We find ourselves needing more skew correction than what is given to us.
Please let me know if anyone has any ideas.
I would really appreciate it before calling it in.
:)
