Hello rkent,
I know you have tried a lot of things, however, there may be a few other things in this article that you haven't tried. If this doen't help, you may need to engage Service.
Thank you for taking my question.
I have dots/splatter/discoloration at top of printed page. If I clean the drum by pulling out the plastic rod beneath each drum, the very next print (and only the very next print) is clean. Subsequent prints display an increasingly dense band of dots/splatter/discoloration. Please make note of what I have done to attempt to resolve. Also, I know it *must* have something to do with the BLUE... please be mindful that I not only eventually replaced the drum, but even switched drums (blue and yellow) to see if the issue moved with the drum... it did not. I can repeat the drum cleaning process and the very next page will be pristine... after which I continue to get the results as seen below.
1. Replace toners/drums/waste container/belt cleaner and fuser with either ones from a working machine with no faults or from new stock.
2. Cleaned transfer belt.
3. General compressed air cleaning any accessible areas.1st print post drum cleaning
