Hi,
I have the exact same problem (well nearly) with my Mac under Monterey and the most recent version of the ColorQUbe 8580 drivers. The Xerox website says the drivers released on Feb 15, 2022 are most recent (version 5.10.0 build 2305. The installer runs but never lights up the "install" button, just as is described above. I tried calling the Tech Support line, and they said I needed to install my printer using the "install a printer by IP address technique." The problem here isn't seeing the printer. I can see the printer with the older drivers, but I am assuming my Backend failed errors are related to the new operating system, so I am trying to install the newest Xerox drivers. Morever, installing a printer by the IP address won't necessarily get me all the Xerox driver's features. When I pointed all that out, Tech Support (Xerox) said to call Apple, but you know they won't help with a Xerox software application. I think there is a problem with the installer itself, as I don't have trouble installing anything else. Can someone confirm the driver actually works?
Hi MohrStress,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. I see no one has responded to this post yet. So, at this point I would recommend contacting your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Product Specialist for more assistance. Please call 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100
The Installer in Mac OS Big Sur is not allowing the "Install" Button to highlight under "Installation Type". Any Ideas on how to remedy this problem?
