Applications can and do (are expected to) over-ride a print driver.
So in Acrobat/Reader, if you choose Choose Paper source by PDF page size, then the driver options are null and void
You can also choose the specific tray in Page Setup
Word has the Page setup option as well
But using those options nulls the driver options, so if the driver is stating to print a specific stock (Heavyweight in tray 5) and the app says (plain in tray 1), the outcome can be messy, it gets worse when the application sends a paper type the printer doesn't support. Or if a page size isn't standard (A pdf created from a scan will occasionally be sized as 8.5*11.01 for instance, the printer will fail as it cannot understand the 2nd decimal place, it will then ask for 8.5*11 to loaded in the tray, which is what is there already, because it can't add that it really wants 11.01 even though it can't be programmed)
Hello,
is it possible that the MFP Driver can decide through the printing document (Word or PDF) which Paper Tray to choose.
Thank you for your Help
