There are no compatable scan drivers for the 6605 with Catalina, you can try installing the one from Xerox.com for the MacOS 10.14, but it is not guaranteed to work.
Same thing happened to me. I own a Xerox Phaser 3020 for only a couple of years and they dropped support for Catalina, it's unbelievable, at the stores they are still selling it. Wow.
Hi. Can you please help me with something similar for Xerox Phaser 3020, because I only bought it a few years ago, and it's still a very good and functional printer. I have stores here that are still selling it, and it looks like Xerox doesn't support Catalina anymore. I already tried with MacOS 10.14, that does not let me install it.
I am just shocked that on the back of the printer it says "Manufactured: January 2016", bought it in 2017 and just 4 yrs from manufacturing it, company considers it trash.

This will allow you to specifically set drivers and feature sets, similiar to how windows gives you more detailed driver settings.
Macs are notoriously finicky when it comes to anything non-apple though, so it may not be a 100% fix.
