Re: Enabling Google cloud print on phaser 6022

You can try a firmware update, but the last one is from 2016, its possible Google changed a backend thing after that. Can't hurt to try

Lol. Yeah, I know, typical Google. Kids got new Chromebooks from school so had to set up GCP for now. Until cups actually works...

Start looking for another print tech, Google is killing Cloud Print end of this year

Enabling Google cloud print on phaser 6022

Product Name: Phaser 6022
Operating System: Windows 10 x64
Posting this as an fyi as I spent a helluva day to get Google cloud print working. All the issues are in the Xerox documentation which is pointless and awful. (Love the printer may never buy Xerox again for their documentation problems)

Ok, to the point, to enable Google cloud print (GCP)
1) get the ip address of your printer.
2) visit http://ipaddress
3) enable GCP (properties|port enabling)
4) enable https (security | ssl tls). Generate a certificate , enable ssl, enable sslv3, smtp => starttls
5) after all the reboots, go to https://ipaddress
6) protocols|Google cloud print
7) click register this device with Google
8) a printout will occur with a URL to visit while signed into your Google account.

Was that so hard Xerox that the only step you included was the #7 with absolutely no background??!
