Entire page prints as color blotch

This just happend today, all pages printed to my 6500 come out as full pages of weird colors.  I see no text .  This happens with the reports and print samples from the printer menu as well as black word documents and full color word documents.  It also happens with PDF files.  The same document printed to my HP looks fine.  Here is what it looks like

Re: Entire page prints as color blotch

Hi X-x1

Considering the fingerprint at the lower right, I have to assume the toner can be smeared, which means your fuser is not heating the toner correctly.

How to replace the fuser

I replaced the fuser and now the image is extremely light, almost unreadable

Re: Entire page prints as color blotch

Are there not any errors on the printer?

It seems odd that the Fuser would go bad and at the same time the imaging unit goes bad, and/or it runs out of toner with absolutely no warnings of any kind.

Consult this post by nivek, it seems to be working for most.
