Thanks Tammy. I've contacted that number multiple times. They are the reason I've tried all the fixes I listed. Most recently I called and they came out. I learned from other techs on another forum that it could be the 2nd BTR needing to be replaced. However, the technician refused to replace it citing it was only at 1/2 life and this wouldn't fix the issue. I was told that Xerox marketing likely just oversells the ability of this machine to run envelopes, and that I should give up hope of having crisp, transfer-issue-free prints on #10's. Very sad to hear this.
Hello itdreprographics,
I see no one has responded to this post yet. So, at this point I would recommend contacting your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Product Specialist for more assistance. Please call 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100.
On my Versant 180 I cannot get cyan (and green, to a lesser extent) to print reliably on my envelopes at all. Other colors are fine.
I have tried everything possible to get this to work, but it seems these envelopes just defeat Xerox. I've tried increasing the transfer voltage, the humidity in the room, changing drums, using every possible stock option, slowing the fuser down, increasing the cyan transfer, sideseam/diag envelopes, and much more.
(Right click the image and open in a new tab, the forum seems to size these photos down, you can see my issue much more at full size)
The envelope just will not print reliably where the seams seem to be. The second image is not what I want to print, but illustrates the issue perfectly.
Is there anything else I should do to fix this?
