Excessive margins, especially leading edge of 6mm

Product Name: VersaLink C8000 Color Printer
Operating System: Not Specified

Hi,

I've been using the C8000 for a while now. I'm mainly printing A5 and A6 sizes and getting a consistent leading edge margin of 6mm

The specifications are:

Margin Specifications:
  • Leading edge: 4mm or less
  • Side edge: 2mm or less
  • Trailing edge: 2mm or less

I'm certainly not seeing less than anything here, and not getting close to 2mm on any side. I see 6mm leading, 4mm opposing, then 4mm on both sides. This may not sound like a big difference, but printing full colour at small sizes, these margins are a big deal for my company.

  • I'm printing on various media settings (mainly types of card stock).
  • I've tried quality and colour settings.
  • I've printed various different files and designs
  • I've tried Tray 1 vs Bypass tray but ultimately none of these make a significant impact on the overall print area.

Is there anything obvious that I'm missing? Any setting that can improve this?
