You have no previous forum history. How did you get the patch?
Did the place you obtained the patch from give you any directions for loading it?
The only reason it should not work is if you don't have the broken patch that caused the issue and really do have a job that is not supported.
The broken patch that people had the issue caused by was FIT200719 and it was quickly removed from the update site.
If you have FIT200719 and you can't install FIT206882 then a tech will be needed to reload the Fiery.
I've downloaded that patch, however when I import to the direct queue to load onto the Fiery, it does not show up in the list of System Updates after the Reboot. I've tried a few times now and get the same results.
PM me your Serial number and email address please.
Thank you both, Joe and usx. I'll have to try the patch and hopefully that fixes the problem. Joe, I'm PMing you my email now.
You have a bad patch that got installed from EFI.
You will see on your config sheet a patch called fit200719.
This patch causes exactly what you are seeing. (EFI have pulled it from the servers)
There is a patch to fix it called FIT206882. It is too big to attach here on the forum. (15MB)
If you have an email account that can handle it, PM me your email address and I will email it directly, or give you access to an email account that has it for downloading from (gmail)
If you could include your email address in the PM as well that would be great so that I can document it.
We've had a Xerox color 550 for about 2 years now and only about a week ago we've been having problems.
Our tray (1-5) breakdown is as follows:
Tray 1 (misc media)
Tray 2 (Tabloid)
Tray 3 (Letter)
Tray 4 (Label paper)
Tray 5 (Transparency)
We've sucessfully set up all of our artist's computers to run to certain trays depending on what they need to print.
As of a week ago we've been getting an error on trays 4 and 5 when trying to print anything besides plain documents.
The error, when looking through the Command Workstation program, says "Face down is not supported for selected media."
This problem has never occured in the past and we did not change any settings overnight. The only way to get those documents to print is to place the paper in tray 3 and print as a "plain document" or by defining the media in tray 4 or 5 as "plain paper."
Has anyone encountered a problem like this before?
