Face-up or Face-down Output

Product Name: Xerox Versant 280
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.11 - El Capitan

Will a job that is 11x17 autoduplexed print faster with face-up or face-down output?

Re: Face-up or Face-down Output

Hi,

Face-up will be faster. Face-down make the paper to go trough to the inverter.

Re: Face-up or Face-down Output

Hi Randy,

Output face/up vs down should make no difference on a duplex (2-sided) print job as you described. The page needs to be flipped to print on the 2nd side either way. Choosing normal or reverse order simply changes which side gets imaged first. This is true whether it's face-up or face-down, normal or reverse order. Simplex (single sided) print jobs will output slightly faster when delivered face-up though.

Sorry! I read wrong the post. I thought it is about one face printing.
