Re: Faded Coloring and Spots when printing images in color

Please print a Repeated Defects page. This will allow you to see all the colors printed on a separate page. The color should be nice and even at about 50% darkness.

That's really surprising that the machine is not recording cyan patch faults.

If it is under warranty, place a service call at 800-821-2797. Have your serial number handy. This is used to identify the machine.

Good luck!

Re: Faded Coloring and Spots when printing images in color

There actually aren't any 09x.xxx codes in the History.

Well that doesn't sound good....why is right! A couple weeks back we had to change the toner, but we ordered xerox supplies, no cheap knock offs or anything, but other than that we haven't done anythning different.

I believe it is under warranty - we have it registered and have a serial number, but I will have to check.

Re: Faded Coloring and Spots when printing images in color

That's a mess for sure.

You probably are also seeing 092-320 codes in the error history as well...

Device > Notifications > History

If you are seeing any other 09x.xxx codes in there, list them here. (x can be any number).

Your cyan developer is shot. The developer is part of the drum unit (drum and developer in same unit). But the question is why? There is possibly a more serious issue with toner dispensing as well. Even if you replace the drum unit, this issue could return if the toner is not dispensing correctly.

Do you have a service contract or is the machine under warranty by chance?

At first glance this looks like a problem with the cyan developer.

Please print a Repeated Defects page. This will allow you to see all the colors printed on a separate page. The color should be nice and even at about 50% darkness.

Device > Support > Support Pages > Repeated Defects.

Post pictures of pages that look defective.

Faded Coloring and Spots when printing images in color

Product Name: VersaLink C505 Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10

When I print the colored images are coming out faded (displaying a pinkish color) and spotty. The color is supposed to be a bright blue. I have tried cleaning the LED lenses and performed a transfer belt cleaning procedure. All of the toners are around 85-90% full and are genuine Xerox toners. Please help! Printing Issue.jpg
