Hello techSquid,
You can use this link to find the number required in Italy.
Thanks for the suggestion
I Successfully enabled PostScript instead of PDF bridge in the decomposer settings but I seem to have no better luck than before.
I have a PCL6/5e submenu aswell so It's installed on my machine: that about expands on all the solutions in the post that you referred me to, any other ones?
As for the support number my school is in italy so I suppose I'll need a different contact.
Hello techSquid,
Please take a look at this article for the fault code 016-749 postscript not installed on your device. If you are still having issues after trying these steps, I suggest that you call into our support department for assistance @ 1-800-821-2797.
Greetings
My school just recieved a Xerox VersaLink b7130 MFP and it seems to work fine with macs, iphones and android phones; on Windows I had to follow the instructions in this post and got it to work, but on chromebooks of different models and OS versions I can't get the printer to work:
Every time that I send a job the printer recieves it and the throws error 016-749
I tried readding the printer as and ipp, ipps, tcp socket, http and all the options that chromeOS gave me but I only got more convoluted error messages froms some of those.
If installing drivers and getting printers to work on linux isn't enough of a nightmare ChromeOS doubles down on it:
Is there any quick way to get the drivers right that I can mass deploy to all the chromebooks in the organization? or a simple way that I can guide the teachers and students to do?
If anything else fails does anybody have tips on how to setup google cloud print?
Thanks for your time
