Our printer is not printing anymore. It shows fault code 043-373
However, we cannot figure out what this error means. I was told by customer support that is was a firmware issue, and the firmware needed to be updated. However, after succesfully updating to 61.66.91 (using bridge version 61.59.01), the error is still shown.
Who can tell me what this error code 043-373 means for a C500 printer?
Some background information:
- Xerox Versalink C500DN
- Connectivity seems to be OK (for example, update was done via Embedded Web Server)
- Sufficient ink available
- Machine powers on and control panel is accessible
I am afraid you need a tech because it can be an NVM glitch possible from a power event or incompatible code sent from a mobile device and this can be solved by a Special Initialization under the Diagnostic Mode, or could be a hardware problem ( a solenoid that does not work properly).
Thanks, I try to get a tech here.
In the mean time, I guess I can just try to initialize the NVM. Which of the NVM options should I try?
My best guess is IOT 1 and Sys-System.
Or would a factory reset of the printer get the job done just as well? I don't mind re-installing the printer, if that's the cost.
Initializing NVM's can lead to lose machine serial number from one module (which is set on 3 different module into the machine) and which can be restored with another DC routine.
