Sounds like you have tried everything already by looking and removing any jammed staples, so it would be a hardware escalation: 1-800-821-2797.

Finisher Main Tray is not available. Notify your System Administrator

Product Name: AltaLink C8130 / C8135 / C8145 / C8155 / C8170 Color Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Not Specified
Our AltaLink C8135 has an integrated office finisher. It has started giving us the error “The Finisher Main Tray is not available. Notify your System Administrator.” Fault history says Fault Code 312.283.01 & 312.283.00

I have looked at other forums with this issue and none of them have been any help. There is no paper jam or staple jam, it recognizes that the finisher tray is there, all the doors and trays are shut, and if I completely remove the finisher then it will prints. And of course I have rebooted the device several times. I’m not sure what else to do here.
