Re: Finishing options (specifically staple) on ColorQube 9201 when printing from Windows 7 64-bit

Rob, I tried that version the other day with no success... today when I tried it, it worked. Cannot explain what happened other than in between then and now I did a system restore to about a week ago when I first got this laptop... so either way, case closed. Thanks!

Sorry to hear about the printing difficulties you're having. Have you tried the latest PCL driver available from Xerox.com? http://www.support.xerox.com/support/colorqube-9201-9202-9203/downloads/enus.html?operatingSystem=wi... The version should be 5.145.12.0. After installing, go to your printers folder, right click "Printer Properties" then "Configuration". In most cases, Bi directional settings will automatically detect the finisher. If not, you can use "Installed Options" button to select the appropriate finisher. Please let me know how things turn out. Regards, Rob

Finishing options (specifically staple) on ColorQube 9201 when printing from Windows 7 64-bit

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Printer: ColorQube 9201

Driver: Xerox GPD PCL V3.0 (though I have also tried "Xerox ColorQube 9201", and "Xerox Global Print Driver PCL" drivers to no avail.)

Hello,

Before acquiring my new laptop (Windows 7, 64-bit) I was running Windows 7 32-bit and had the option in my Printing Preferences to enable finishing options, specifically stapling.

Now, however, while running Windows 7 64-bit and viewing the Printing Preferences of this same printer, the option for finishing no longer exists.

In Windows Explorer, when I right-click the printer and choose Printer Properties, I'm presented with the OS-level Properties window, which actually shows me the "Features" group box at the bottom, inside of which reveals, "Staple: No" -- but the machine does in fact do stapling if the print driver would be kind enough to show the finishing options when viewing the Printing Preferences.

Not being able to staple automatically is really cramping my productivity. I'm thinking this relates to 64-bit version of the driver but can't be certain. Throughout my trial and error of different drivers, I believe I finally found one driver that offered stapling but when I chose that driver, the printer printed only blank pages and didn't staple the things anyway.

Help, please! :-)
