So when I go to this download link:
https://www.support.xerox.com/en-us/product/workcentre-6515/content/156307I see on the webpage the details of the file as follows:
Released: 09/15/2022
Version: 65.69.51
Size: 418.49 MB
Filename: 656951_WC6515_E.zipBut when I actually donwload the file, the resulting filesize of the zip file is only 259MB (uncompressed - bin = 258MB; PDF guide = 907KB). I've tried different browsers, clearing its cookies with the same result. Another user reported the same but when he tried downloading it on a mac, he got the correct larger file.
Strange isn't it?
I have exactly the same.
The download page says 418.49MB, the actual download is 259MB.
Also moderators, please, if you are going to delete and remove peoples posts, the lease you can do is respect the poster and give them an explanation as to why or leave a marker to say the post was removed. Deleting posts which could have helped with the reason why certain people are succesful in installing the new firmware and others are not only hinders finding the solution.
@ techted, I now find that I still have the .bin file for this 65.69.51 firmware that I downloaded on 26th September, the one that did not work for anybody, including myself. It's filesize is 258MB (270,761,984 bytes). So in my opinion, as this is the same size you downloaded, the fixed firmware .zip file of 418.49MB has not propagated to all of Xerox's download servers and anybody finding that the file they downloaded is 258MB in size, is still receiving the original broken firmware file. So not so strange now, considering this new information.

I have downloaded this file to my dropbox account. I posted the link yesterday but, for some reason, some of the posts in this topic have disappeared. If anybody else does not see 418.49MB in the download link and wants to try my file, PM me for my dropbox link. This is at your own risk and I take no responsibility if it bricks your printer.
With help from DrStrange I got my firmware updated to v65.69.51! Woohoo!!!
For some reason when I download the firmware, the bin file size I get is 264MB. When DrStrange downloads it, he gets a 398MB file. It is vital you use the 398MB bin file as that is the one that works. It seems we are using the same download link provided by community manager CathyO-Xerox so am confounded why we are getting different files.
I tried to relaunch my browser, clearing its cookies and I still get the smaller 264MB file. It is really odd.
Hi,
I sucessfully update the firmware with no issue.
thanks
Simone
I was able to update the firmware, with the same experience as reported by DrStrange and SadAdmin.
Thank you for fixing it.
Hello,
We have been informed that they have fixed the firmware. If some of you can try it and and let us know if it works, that would be great:
Hello,
We have reported the issue with the firmware failing, they are in the process of reloading the firmware on xerox.com. Once this is completed we will update this post.
