I know this is old stuff, but everything is detailed in the FAQs here:

Reset the CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS) Password

If a password has been set and it has been lost, then Network Defaults will need to be reset on the printer to remove the password from CWIS. See the Related Content for additional information.

 

The above refers to: 

Reset Network Defaults 

(and all other settings to factory defaults, procedure pasted below)

To reset network defaults:

  1. On the printer Control Panel, press the Menu button.

    NOTE: To navigate through the menu, use the Up or Down arrow buttons.

  2. Navigate to Admin Settings, then press OK.
  3. Navigate to Network Setup, then press OK.
  4. Navigate to Reset Defaults, then press OK.
  5. At the Are you sure? prompt, press OK. After the process completes, the printer to returns to Ready after the reset is complete.
  6. After the reset is complete, the Wired Ethernet connection will be active and set to DHCP for IP address assignment. See the Related Content for additional information if the printer had a manual/static IP address set. See the Related Content for additional information if you need to re-configure the Wireless Ethernet connectivity.

Thank you, that helped resolve the issue. There was an option "Clear NVM" which did the trick.

Try booting while holding down Up + Down arrows to get to the service menu

find the "RESET NVM" menu., might be in "Maintenance mode"

Forgot password and PIN for Xerox 6600 - How can I restore to default??

I setup a PIN on a Xerox Phaser 6600 a while back and I thought I wrote it down but I didn't and I can't remember this anymore. I am also not able to log in to the web console as my credentials are not accepted although I'm pretty sure I'm typing them correct as I use the same for all printers and have used them in the past.

Is there a way to recover from this?  is it possible to restore the printer to factory default?
