Great! Couple of options. The .tif files should be copied to the Nuvera and placed in the /IMGLIB Directory. How famaliar are you with Solaris?
Couple of different ways to do this. (Some of these options may be dependent on how the security settings are set on your Nuvera)
(1) Copy the images to a flash drive, insert into the Nuvera, where after a few seconds it will show up on the desktop. Use the Directory to copy these images to the /IMGLIB folder (under the /USR/XGFC directory)
(2) Transfer the Files to the Nuvera using an FTP Utility, place the files in the /IMGLIB folder (FTP has to be enabled for this to work)
ALso, if you export your VIPP job (how are you creating the VIPP Job?) as a Project file, once the .VPC file hits the Nuvera, it will auto-extract all the images/fonts/resources/forms/etc to the correct directories.
Here's another resource for some light reading also..

Hope this helps? Doogie
Thank you!
In order:
The press (314EA) is running Solaris
We appear to be missing Images (All linked files in InDesign are .tif/.tiff images) (There are a lot of files, there are 9 books, each are 9 sheets, and with 40 variable pages that make up the guts (one for each state in the project)).
I have them on my PC currently, we do not know how/where to store them on the press. (They used to be stored there until a tech accidentally wiped the system 5 years ago now).
Also, you might want to post this question on this VIPP Support Forum..

.
I see you are using a Nuvera Printer, so you are using a FreeFlow Print Server running on Solaris.
Is your VIPP Licensed properly? (Check under License Manager.. look for a "Valid" VIPP License.
Do you know what resources you are missing (Fonts/Images/Forms/etc).
Do you have those resources on your computer/server/somewhere?
If you can provide this information I might be able to help you copy those resources to the printer.

That's the problem, our techs and specialists have no answer for us and essential gave us a "good luck with that" when they broke our system the first time over a year ago. The Xerox Help Forum was our last ditch attempt at finding somebody from Xerox who knows how to use the software Xerox sells.
Hello NARguy56,
I see no one has responded to this post yet. So, at this point I would recommend contacting your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Software Specialist for more assistance. Please call 1-800-821-2797.
Hello, we have this book project we've been doing for 10+ years now that has a thick variable cover stock that matches up with variable gut pages.
In the past we've made .VPP files for each of the various files, but we can no longer do that due to an issue our techs caused a year or two ago where all our assets were wiped form the machine and nobody from Xerox knows how to get them back on there.
Now we have to generate VPC files with all the assets included (1 version of the gut art for each state). This has increased our file size massively (194 KB average to now 400,000 KB average), making the generating and running of these books very slow.
We are wondering if the VIPP PDF can be used to generate PDFs for the books that tell the press to pull a cover sheet every Nth page. (For example, every 9th page is a cover page). Or if there is a way to make the press pull a cover sheet every specific page.
As far as we can tell, this cannot be set up over on the press with variable PDFs (You'd have to manually tell it each page that is a cover page so "1, 11, 21, etc" which wouldn't work for the quantity we run.)
Sorry if my terminology is a little off.
