I would like to comment that we are using the Global PCL5 Driver . A user brought this same issue to my attention.
We are using version 5.273.23.2N and MS Excel 2010
I was able reproduce the issue on my PC using two fresh xlsX files. I could also produce the fix by disabling Notfiy for Completed Job, in Printing Preferences > Advanced.
Hey!
Oh, sry I forgot to mention that.
Great that it worked though :)
That worked! Thanks a ton!!
Also, if it is a local driver, I found the job notification settings under:
Administration > Notification > Job Notification
Hey!
Then I may know what the problem is, if you turn SNMP on again under Configuration -> Bi-directional Setup, and select Job notification "OFF" and see if that helps.
Thanks!

So, I found this: http://forum.support.xerox.com/t5/Printing/psct8560-exe-Crash/m-p/16074/highlight/true#M3543
and managed to turn of SNMP.
The good news is it doesn't swap windows after printing. The bad news is I lose the features of the printingscout. Is there a win-win situation to this?
Hey!
Thanks for the response. I tried searching the forums before posting this and could not come up with anything. Maybe someone remembers.
I'll see what I can come up with now that I have some factors to investigate.
Thanks!
Hey!
We actually had this problem a few months ago here on the forum, somehow we figured out a solution.
The problem was that a popup window made it switch, I dont remember fully but I am pretty sure that it had something to do with printing scout or SNMP.
Hope someone here remembers or can find the thread about it :)
Thanks!
I'm experiencing a strange, repeatable behavior on the computers in our environment.
If you have two files open in Excel, print file 1, wait a few seconds, file 2 switches places with file 1. So file 2 becomes the active window. This is extremely aggravating and time consuming to have to switch back to the file you were working on prior to printing.
To replicate this problem in Excel 2010:
1. Open Excel
2. Open File A
3. Open File B (becomes active window)
4. Print File B
5. Wait a few seconds, File A becomes active window - switches places with File B.
This only occurs when printing to a PS driver. It does not occur when printing to the same printer using a PCL driver. I am using the latest Xerox Global PS Print Driver. I have talked to Microsoft and they instructed me to contact Xerox.
Please help,
Thanks!
Matt
