After upgraded to Windows 10 - 1709, I couldn't print from Edge with Global Postcript driver 5469.900 and 5548.800.
It gave error: An exptected error occurred in the print driver. Close the current driver window and retry the operation. 045:000:0513.
This error only occurred on Microsoft Edge.
Other applications were printing fine.
Please help.
Thank you,
Mike
We are seeing the exact same issue printing from the Edge browser with Windows 10 (1709) with the Xerox Pull Print Driver PS v5496.700. Users are able to print using the same driver in Windows 10 (1703).
If I change the driver to a different driver (HP Universal Printing PS v61.190.0.21178) - we do not get the error in Edge. It appears it the issue is releated to the Xerox driver.
We have the same Problem white the Xerox Global driver
seems not xerox related, some more info :
Problem: In Win 10, Win 2012 sharing environment, MS Edge Preview crashes when printing with the Xerox PS driver. The error displayed is "An unexpected error occurred in the print driver. Close the current driver window and retry the operation. 045:000:0513"
Steps to Replicate:
1. On a Win 2012 (or R2) Server install with X-GPD 5.548.8.0 PS and create a print queue.
2. On a Windows 10 build 1709 with latest MS Edge Version 41.16299.15.0
Note: This build is sometimes referred to as the Microsoft "Fall Creators Update."
3 Share this print queue
4. Print from MS Edge
5. The Preview of MS Edge runs in a circle, and then a error is displayed.
"An unexpected error occurred in the print driver. Close the current driver window and retry the operation. 045:000:0513"

Engineering has investigated this escalation, and are declining it because it is a Microsoft application issue. Microsoft is working the issue and provided Xerox a Microsoft Internal ticket number (14165566). Microsoft has stated the issue is in relation to Microsoft Pscript and Unidrv files. This directly breaks printing via Point and Print.
In addition to the Microsoft addressing this problem, Xerox is also making modifications to the print driver to handle this crash more gracefully.
Latest Win 10 update from Microsoft fixes the issue. (KB4051963)
Maybe reinstallation of print queue would be required if the issue was still alive in rare cases.
its not working :/
also not working for me :(
