No Mac OS devices are connected to the WC7345. Problem occurs regardless of the paper size selected (Letter, A4, Legal, etc)
The problem is occurring with Windows 7 PCs using the PS Global Print Driver when printing from Office 2010 apps.
hello,
you need at least the new mac 1.1.7 driver, should be solved there, contact xerox to obtain it...
Problem/Symptom Problem Role: Symptom When using A4 paper the machine will not print a staple job if 2 staples are selected. JOB IS CANCELLED WITH ERROR CODE 016-722
This problem has been addressed in v1.1.7 Mac Driver for the WC 73xx Family 1. Download and install Printer package 1.1.72. Add an LPD printer, queue name lp.3. Create a 2 page document in MS Word 2004.4. Select file>page setup and format for the LPD/LPR printer 73xx, select A4 as the paper size. Select [Ok].5. Select [File]-[Print]. Choose the 73xx printer-if not default.6. Select [Xerox] or [Printer features] from the drop down menu.7. Select [Finishing Options].8. Select [2 staples].9. Select [OK] to send the job. The job now staples correctly (2 staple)
Also seeing the same issue with WC7335
We're seeing this on our WC7345 units. We are currently using GPD PS driver v5185.4100
also what version are you using of the driver? i see in some release notes it is fixed in the latest versions
hello,
what machine are you testing on ?
We have had problems with the WorkCentre stapling function when combined with the duplex printing option. Our PCs are running Windows 7 Enterprise (64-bit) and printing through a Windows 2008 server using the current Xerox GPD. System software on the WorkCentre is also current.
The problem occurs when the user selects stapling from within the print dialog of an application (e.g. Word, Excel). The screen correctly provides the user with the options for "No Staple / Staple Top Left / Two Staples on Left". If one of the two stapling options is selected, it appears that the job is successfully printed, but the WorkCentre generates a "Aborted" error with code 016-722.
This only occurs when attempting to print duplex. Simplex print jobs will correctly print with stapling as selected.
The workaround we've found is to leave the Staple option set as "No Staple" from the application's Print dialog page, and to click the "Print Properties" link. From there, the Xerox Print Properties applet opens, and when the Staple option is selected, the job processes correctly.
Are there others who have encountered this problem? Is the Xerox Print Properties applet the intended method to select the stapling function? If so, why does this only affect the duplex jobs?
Thanks in advance--
