Re: Glossy paper has horizontal bars

Jump to solution

Hi,

Fuser coating is very sensitive. It could be from a jammed paper, from the format of the paper and weight (the perfect format for use is SRA3), or from an improper eliminating of a jammed paper.

I checked the fuser. Looks like that is the problem, there is a wrinkle on it. (photo attached). Is it done for?

It is only 5 months old, very light usage. What would cause that?

thanks

Hi,

It could be from fuser. Check the fuser roll.

Glossy paper has horizontal bars

Jump to solution
Product Name: PrimeLink C9065/C9070 Printer
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

I'm trying to print color images on glossy 11x17 paper. It is Xerox 3R11455: 100lb coated 140 g/m2. I am getting horizontal bars across the page every couple of inches which indicates to me its a roller mark of some kind.

Regular paper works ok, it is just the glossy / coated paper that is doing this. I have tried setting the paper type as 'coated 1' and 'coated 2'. I will attach a photo.

Can anyone help?
