I purchased a Phaser 6510 that appeared to be brand new (had orange factory tape on all compartments etc) and the print metering said 0 pages printed. The printer did have the 4 toner drums installed in the unit and when I set it up to print I am seeing black smudges in a pattern along both sides of the page. (images attached)
I am trying to diagnose the problem, removed and gently shook the black drum, and also opened the rear compartment with the roller and inspected that. When I wipe it gently with a microfiber towel a tiny bit of dark ink comes off on the towel.
If anyone with laser maintenance experience could take a look at the smudges and help me out I would really appreciate it. Was thinking about ordering new black toner drum and stage 2 roller, but I really don't know what I'm doing and figured I should start here by asking for help :-)
