Hello!
We use our V80 press to print decals on a custom heavily glossed 13x17.5" sheet. We regularly have an issue with the colour consistency from left to right on our impressions. We have four 6x8" identical impressions (+bleed) arranged in a 2x2 grid per sheet and are stuggling to have them all look them same colour after trimming.
Some details...
- We use the fiery module
- Our decals are designed via photoshop on a Mac
- We usually run the Fiery colour calibration with our Tiffen colour strip and then the Colour density uniformity adjustment on our 13" wide paper
- We know about the drums getting damaged by light "leaking" in through the seam in the front panel - it's been covered with a foam strip and drums were replaced and currently all at 73%
- We had our developer housings retrofitted with ports so the developer does not get pressurized an blasted out of the housing.
Essentially, we have a 2x2 arrangement of four decals on our sheet and the left 2 (top and bottom) impressions never match the right 2 (top and bottom) impressions. Is there something we are missing as far as troubleshooting or calibrations?
Please advise.
Thank you!
