Re: How To Print #10 Envelopes on a C70?

Interesting, accept none of this actually works.   I used to be able to do it on my older machine.  Since I upgraded to the c60, it doesn't work anymore.   Kind of a disappoitment since the manuals CLEARLY say it can be done.....it just won't physically work.    The lower threshold in the firey is just now small enough.   I've had the tech in and xerox help on the line and nobody has been able to make it work.

Trying to print them along SEF style will work, but you'll end up with  wrinkles as the air trapped in the envelopes can't excape when it expands from the fusing cycle.   So you really cannot produce any quality envelopes on the C-60, even though my previous machine which was almost exactly the same could do it.   Very strange.

Re: How To Print #10 Envelopes on a C70?

Since you can only do a single decimal place, it would have to be 5.3*8.9

You will simply have to try it, it might work, but you would also need to rotate everything to match the rotated output

Re: How To Print #10 Envelopes on a C70?

Is there a similar set of documents describing how to print on #9 envelopes on a C70 with Fiery?  We're preparing return envelopes that will be mailed inside #10 envelopes.

We thought we could easily adapt the method shown but the dimensions of a #9 envelope are approximately 5.25 inches by 8.875 inches (including the flap).  That 5.25-inch measurement is less than the minimum of 5.8 inches shown in the third photo.

Alternatively, can we rotate the envelopes so that the shorter end feeds first?

I've done them before on a C75 Press. It seems to have changed, but I'll try this again. Thanks! I knew I found directions somewhere.

Re: How To Print #10 Envelopes on a C70?

They can call and ask for it by name or part number.

497K09990 is the part number for the Envelope Fuser

Re: How To Print #10 Envelopes on a C70?

Hi,

Is there a part number for the Envelope Fuser or should customers just call supplies?

Thanks,

Re: How To Print #10 Envelopes on a C70?

The post you followed was specific to your printer but using an EFI Fiery, do you have one? If not those steps are not correct at all.

The attached 2 PDF files show how to run them with and without a Fiery

If you get it working to your liking, you may want to consider an envelope fuser to use when running large jobs, else damage can occur to the roller.

How To Print #10 Envelopes on a C70?

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi everyone,

We just leased a C70 with all the fixin's...  C/Z folder, stacker tray, and the oversized feeder.  Love it!  Nice machine.  But...

I find myself needing to print return labels on 500-1,000 envelopes fairly regularly.  Historically, we have done this (VERY PAINFULLY) over several days on HP Laserjet products through their bypass trays.  It's horrifying, but works.  I'd like to use the C70; at least for some of it.

They are standard #10 envelopes.

I cannot for the life of me even get the *** thing to feed most of the time even after reading this Xerox forum article.  I use Word 2010.  If I use the actual "envelope" function in Word, I cannot even attempt to print more than one and cannot get the print driver window up.  If I "make a document" out of it, the #10 envelope size is not an available size once I choose the C70 as my printer.  It is if my HP m551dn is selected...

I'm lost and frustrated.  Help, please?  Thanks!

Chris
