Re: How do you recover a Phaser 8560 after a bad firmware update?

From the first step of the NVRAM reset procedure, I pressed and held the Up arrow button on the Control Panel, and then pressed the OK button, but nothing came up on the display.

How do you recover a Phaser 8560 after a bad firmware update?

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Apparently the people that were doing a firmware update to a Phaser 8560 didn't wait long enough before rebooting it so now the unit is bricked.  Front panel has nothing on the LCD and just a red light to the right of that

The network adapter is pingable but that is it.  FTP is an instant disconnect and the Web server times out.

I tried uploading the firmware with the Xerox tool via a USB cable and the file went in to the printer but the printer didn't do anything with it. It still just sits there with the LCD blank, red light on and fans whiring.
