I have a ColorQube 8570 and yesterday I updated the printer driver to Version: 220.127.116.11, dated Date: Oct 1, 2016. The problem I am having is that I cannot change the paper source from the printer dialog. I am NOT talking about using the Control Panel>Printer Setup>Paper Handing Setup>Paper Source - that works fine but I switch from manual feed to tray feed a lot and I do not want to have reset the printer between jobs.
Before I updated the driver, I could just designate which paper source to needed for that specific print job, but now when I click on "Setup" (from within Adobe Illustrator) and then select Preferences in the printer dialog, the Xerox printer dialog screen apprears with default type options (Quick print, Toner Saver, Draft Watermark, etc) but none appear to allow me to change the paper source for this print job. From within Adobe Illustrator I cannot designate the paper source, only the orientation, paper size but not which tray it prints from.
I am sure this is very easy but I cannot seem to figure it out. So, how do change the paper source?
That is how v4 works, you need an app to use them, and there are apps for each manufacturer.
Grab the Xerox print Experience App to regain your options if you don't want to stick to v3 drivers.
You have at this point been switched to a Class driver until you add the app.
