thats really lucky of you. but I advice using proper tools next time. you might accidentally worsen the damage.
Thank you Fabio. But after struggling without my own printer for the past 10 days, I gave trying to resolve the problem myself and took one more shot at it this morning. Instead of stopping after removing the two ink sticks with an exacto knife, I fiddled around with a wooden skewer and managed to reach the bottom stick, where I found it had cracked in half. Once I got both pieces out I replaced one cube . . . restarted my printer and voila! It immediately kicked out a startup sheet. What a relief
normally on mac, if you go to print setup, there is something called like "xerox features" , in this menu there you can setup color settings
My Phaser 8560 is currently on the blink until I can schedule a visit by a repair service to clean the cyan ink sensor.
Until that is arranged I know it's possible to print in black and white only, but can't figure out where to change the settings.
My printer is connected to an iMac (OS 10.4.11) with several different browsers, including Safari and Firefox (among others). But I can't figure out where the settings are. . . (i.e., on the printer or Mac,?) and where?
Would appreciate any and all help.
