I have been using the Xerox Phaser 6125N for many years on Linux. I love these printers so much I had purchased 2 new and since aquired 2 more used,
The Phaser 6130 drivers will not work on the 6125
Also what is impossible today is possible tomorrow.
I use Linux as my primary OS and have used the Fuji Xerox drivers all along. I used to have the 32 bit and 64 bit debs pre-converted and ready to go . There was also someone who had once repackaged the driver with tweaks for the phaser 6125 .

You will also need to make some tweaks to paper supplies as I recall after installed.
I think there is also a myth floating around on the internet that the Phaser 6125 with this c525 Linux driver will only support composite black when printing in color. I think the work around for this is to print in PHOTO mode. . I was having issues with a black cartridge printing light gray and printed a color page in Photo mode and all blacks came out light gray. I then reprinted in other modes and only photo mode had the light blacks from the bad black cartridge. All other modes did seem to be composite black yielding in my case a reddish cast, but blackish, not light gray.
Also if you are in a high altitude you need to set it for thicker paper or ink may flake off the page. There is no altitude asjustment on these printers and that problem started for me on 2 6125 printers after moving from sea level to 5000ft But also see the first post in the earlier ubuntuforms link , as this user claimed his was "crying for different paper (type?)". I think this might also relate to using this driver?????
On SOME systems I have also seen:
If I print 3 copies, I get 9 . If I print 2 copies I get 4. if I print 12 copies I get 144.. No rational explanation for this and have not seen others who experience the same.
