Place tabs in Bypass Tray (Tray 5) with tabs facing up in the tray.
In the Fiery Menu . . . Make your Document size: 9 x 11 Landscape. Change your Paper size: 8.5 x 11 Tab LEF.
The Fiery will automatically change the Media stock to Tab stock and Media weight to 106-128 gsm.
To print 5 tabs, click on current page and make 5 copies for one set.
On the printer you put it as 8.5*11 Tab stock.
In the driver/application it is whatever it allows .
Exact steps depend on the DFE, which would be the FFPS or the Fiery. For the FFPS it's simple as possible, you just choose whatever it says in Loaded stocks.(White Pre-Cut tab usually) and it won't give a resource issue.
For the Fiery you just choose tabs and it will fill in the size automagically, just make sure you set the weight to whatever you did on the 75.
Hi American Printing,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please make sure you are loading the tabs correctly. You need to make sure that you have confirmed to the screen that tabs are loaded in the tray. If you continue to have issues with printing tabs please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
I'm trying to print tabs on a C75 Press using the Bypass Tray. The Tab sheets are 9 x 11 including the tabs (obviously they are only the extra half inch wide in a small space where each tab is - these tabs are 1.5" wide). When I choose the size as 9 x 11 and the paper type as Tab Stock, I get an error message saying for Tab Stock you have to use A4 or 8.5 x 11. But when I use 8.5 x 11, my 9 x 11 document won't print because they're different sizes. If I make my document 8.5 x 11, the tabs print in the wrong place.
How is this supposed to work?
I tried working around it by calling the paper Hole Punched, but then it jams and crumples up when going into the Finisher (we have a bookletmaker finisher). The tabs get all beat up and sometimes torn.
Thoughts? My client's project is due in a half hour!
