Re: How to remove/hide jobs from "Completed Jobs" window?

Hi,

I am in the same situation, we have people who use secure jobs functionality but the 'completed jobs' tab shows everyone what has been printed and i was looking for a way to disable this tab or atleast just hide the name of the jobs.

I tried hiding the jobs via the web ui but it also hides the name on the secured job too which doesnt help the user when looking at their prints.

Any ideas?

Re: How to remove/hide jobs from "Completed Jobs" window?

Hi imsti,

Maybe this wil help you:

LPR/LPD settings must be adjusted on the WC 58xx WebUI to allow this feature to work properly.

Through the WebUI > Properties > Connectivity > Setup > LPR/LPD > Edit... > Advanced Settings > Select 'Enabled' for "PDL banner page attributes override LPR control file attributes for job name and owner".

Kind regards,

Re: How to remove/hide jobs from "Completed Jobs" window?

Odd, I would suggest calling 2nd level support, I just tested it again here and it works on the Global driver with the 58xx here in the lab, instead of the job name I get my job with my login name on the PC instead of the title of the document. Nothing at all special with my setup since I did a default driver install and even the port is created automagically via the install wizard.

Re: How to remove/hide jobs from "Completed Jobs" window?

Dear Joe,

Thank you very much for your response.

I followed your steps - unfortunately it didn't work. I can see the 'Mask Job Name' entry in the Enable Special Features window, but the jobname still appears in the Xerox list.

Re: How to remove/hide jobs from "Completed Jobs" window?

It still works because the Global driver is the same on any device, the trick is that since that post was written, the driver was updated and now the tabs are different.

- Open the driver properties window and select the ‘Administration’ tab.

- Select <CRLT> + <shift> + <X > keys at the same time to open the ‘Enable Specials Features’ window.

- Enter the Special Feature Code: "code10" in lower case

- Select [set] to enable>then Close, then OK

- You will see a description like: Mask Job Name

If the feature is enabled, the driver will not send the document Job Name. The driver will auto-generate a rolling job ID, which is composed of a driver generated incremental counter on a per user basis.

The counter will be re-set to 1 once it reaches 999.

How to remove/hide jobs from "Completed Jobs" window?

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hello,

How can I remove the "Completed Jobs" from the Xerox status window? At least the ones I sent to print. I am aware of the disadvantages it might have, but privacy has, in my opinion, a higher priority.

If that's not possible, I would like to (automatically) rename the jobs as mentioned in this question. Unfortunately, the tutorial for activating the silent option doesn't work for the Xerox WC 5845 we are using.

Thank you very much!

Best regards
