I have finally found acceptable solution. In web printer settings you can set up automatic turn off after 5 minutes.
Mine turns off after pushing the power button for about 5 seconds. I understand that the standby power consumption is very low, so I tend to leave the printer switched on.
I have the same problem. The printer won't turn off even after holding down the power button for 40 seconds. In any case, it is completely ridiculous that you should have to hold a button for as long as 30 seconds to turn a device off.
Thanks... but the printer should never come from the factory printing a test page every time it turns on.
That is plain evil on the part of Xerox.
I have the same problem.
this B210 printer is a nightmare. I regret buying it. The AirPrint only works intermittently and the printer prints a test page every time I turn it on.

Hello,
I'm trying to swith off the printer, in user's guide I should press switch on/off button for at least 30 seconds (???) but then the green light on switch on/off button disappears, something inside the printer starts doing some sound like printing, 2 controls (WPS and !) are enlighted blue and green, after another cca 45 seconds it comes back to the only enlighted swithch on/off button. Pls help...I may take the cable out from electricity but I´d like to do it correctly. Thank you.
