we are having issues on all xerox 78xx models
when printing from mac, mac uses default IPP printing , when you do a test page , the jobs stay in queue on mac with message "access denied"
when you choose LPD as protocol it works, but we want to use IPP
when we do the same test from windows, print on an IPP port, job ls also in error
same setup on other xerox models like 93xx, printing works
IPP protocol is offcourse enabled on webinterface
93xx and 78xx are loaded with the same firmware, latest spar release xxx.14201
This is a known issue in the 78xx family running the .14201 release.
It has been sparred and Engineering will be fixing it hopefully in the next firmware release.
I do not have an ETA on the release, I thought it would have been out last week.
The issue breaks IPP, which in turn makes MOPRIA and Airprint fail to work as well.
There are 3 options available to you at this point
1. Use LPR or HP Jet Direct (RAW) and wait for the next release.
2. Have a tech paged to Force Downgrade the device to the last firmware (.5000)
3. Call Xerox and have your device added as a child to Spar CQGbl00769037 (You would still need to use option 1 or 2 in the meantime, but this way you would be notified when the new firware is released.
Yes, but the ETA is an unknown, we are far past the estimated August 28th release.
