Re: Image Quality Issues

Hi Andy,

For the default password instead of 1111 please try the serial number of your machine and see if that will get into the admin functions.

Thanks,

Re: Image Quality Issues

Thanks Gabi. I will give this a try and update here.

How do I get back into the admin functions to do a calibration as the default 1111 doesn't work after the factory reset?

Re: Image Quality Issues

No, the CTD sensors are not the same with the LED. The CTD you will find behind the back cover here. Clean them with a dry cloth.

And a Factory reset will not solve quality issues

Re: Image Quality Issues

Thanks Gabi
I have cleaned the LED using the rod through each drum. Are the CTD sensors the same thing?

I carried out a factory reset on the device to see if it rectified the issue. However on setting up the default 1111 admin password wont work to let me in to admin functions - can this be reset somehow?

Re: Image Quality Issues

Hi Andi,

Try to clean the Led Print Head (laser windows) with the rod cleaner, to clean the CTD sensors, to be sure to setup correctly the paper type (weight) and to make calibration (under Device tab/Support).

Re: Image Quality Issues

Hi Alan
It happens at different locations on prints... even the same file printed numerous times. These misty or foggy patches appear. The machine is under a year old with a low print count. It's always had genuine toners in it. The supplies screen says that there is on average 65% left on the drums and I dont fancy replacing all 4 drums as that is a pricey thing as you know. The recent toner change was a extra high yield yellow OME. It's so confusing especially when plain blacks print with no issue.

Re: Image Quality Issues

Hi Andy,

When did this begin happening? Does it happen all the time? Changed any toner cartridges? If so are they the manufacturer or knock-off?

I've seen similar issues on B-405's. After changing the drum the problem went away.

Image Quality Issues

Product Name: VersaLink C600 Printer
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

I appear to have discoloured areas on my prints. Almost like a blue patches. If I print multiple copies of the same document these patches are not in the same place. All toner's (with the exception of black) are 50% or over. Drum status according to the printer are all OK. Images are attached for reference. It is almost like fogging in certain areas. Black text etc is all fine.discoloured patches. This should be solid coloursdiscoloured patches. This should be solid colours
