Re: Incompatible ink cartridge

Most likely they are locked out by a region code, ,or via Metered vs Sold

The printer comes in a neutral state, when you purchase and install your first consumable it locks to its designation (Metered vs sold) and dependant on the model and area, possibly to a Region.

Metered = Xerox contracted

Sold = Purchased through Retail

Regions are

NA , DMO and Asia Pacific

DMO, Dmoso " - includes the marketing, sales and servicing of Xerox products, supplies, and services in (Latin America, Mexico, Brazil) the Middle East, India, Eurasia and Central-Eastern Europe (Russia area) and Africa.

The only way to change the printer after it is locked is by paying to have it done.

Or you have a single bad toner cart that juts needs to be exchanged

Incompatible ink cartridge

Product Name: WorkCentre 6655
Operating System: Windows 10

Hi,

I am from the Cayman Islands. We have a workcentre 6655 in our office and we recently bought some LD Toner Cartridges as replacements. I tried to replace one of the cartridges and  got the message on the screen "Black Toner (K) is not compatible". Is there any way that i can troubleshoot this in house?
