Re: Is it possible to have documents on hold automatically on a Xerox D125? (hold jobs)

Hello Serge2,

I searched our knowledge base and couldn't find anything for holding jobs without using a code. I would recommend contacting your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Product Specialist for more assistance. Please call 1-800-821-2797.

Thanks,

Is it possible to have documents on hold automatically on a Xerox D125? (hold jobs)

Product Name: Xerox D95/D110/D125 Copier/Printer
Operating System: Windows Server 2012 R2 x64

Hi,

A company that I'm currently working for is using a Xerox D125 printer. They also are using a 4112 printer. They have a setup of 2 printers for that 4112, one is named 4112 Direct and the other is 4112 Hold. When printing with the 4112 hold, all documents sent to the printer are automatically queued and not printed until the user release them at the station that is next to the printer.

They don't remember how they have done this setup and we need to do the same for the D125. First question is, is that possible on a D125? We cannot go with the protected document route since we will be sending a lot of different documents (between 300 and 400 documents) to that printer in one shot and we don't want the user to have to enter the code 300 times for each document. But we do want the job to be held and not printed automatically. If it's possible, where can the IT server guy working there can find that setup and enable it for a new defined printer that he would call D125 Hold?

He's been stuck for weeks and didn't find anything and he dosen't know how it was done for the 4112. Does anyone here can help me help him?

Thanks!

Serge
