I kept looking for the paper jam after I removed the paper tray. I looked at the service manual that I downloaded many years ago. There was a Turn Chute Assembly that snapped in above the paper tray. Upon opening it, there was a sheet of paper that was folded like an accordian. I was able to remove it, assembled the printer, and turn it back on with the jam cleared.
I know this is an old printer, but it has been working fine. Recently, I sent a job to the printer and after the first page printed (duplex), it says there is a jam it the redistribution roller. (I would assume it is frequently called a pickup roller.) Following the directions to clear the jam,I removed the paper tray to clear the jam at the intake paper slot. There was no paper or jam. Next, I opened the front door to remove any jammed paper. There was none. So I closed up the printer, reinserted the paper tray, and the jam didn't clear. I turned the printer off and on several times hoping the sensors would reset. Is there any way to reset the printer to clear the jam that isn't there?
Thanks, Bob
