Customer told me they are having to clear it at least once a day so I think I'll put both types of jobs at 4 hours.
Thanks,
Jonathan
Jonathan,
Depending how heavy the printer is used, I would change the Non-Secure jobs to 8 hours. Normal work day.
Depending on how secure the site is, I would try to force the Secure Job's the same time frame. Higher Secure job's to my thinking shouldn't be sitting / saved to the printer. Were I work, Secure job's are automatically deleted once printed. Non-Secure Job's are allowed only 8 hours.
Randy,
I re-read your directions. I then saw the part about deleting jobs, however I'm not at the site and I don't see any way to delete jobs in the browser interface.
But what I did find is the job policies including retention. It was set to the default of keeping non-secure jobs for 5 days and secure jobs for a week. So I changed that to 30 minutes for the non-secure and 2 days for secure jobs. Your mention of saving to memory is got me looking there.
I've let the customer know of this so will be looking forward to hearing if that fixes the problem of having to periodically clear out the jobs to be able to print more.
Thanks,
Jonathan
Thanks for the reply but I don't see how it helps to fix the problem. I see the directions on how to clear the job history but the customer is already doing that. What I need is a way to lift the limit or if it's a question of filling up memory with jobs, then I need a way to disable saving the jobs so then the memory would not get filled up.
Thanks,
Jonathan
Are the print job's getting saved on the device ? If they are getting saved then the memory on the device is going to get filled. And you'll need to clear the Job history to free this space up.

5. To return to the Home screen, press the Home button
Hope this Helps.
Customer says that once the number of jobs in the job history gets to a certain number then no more printing can be done until the history is cleared out. I'm not familiar with Xerox devices and have never heard of a problem like this on other printers.
Can anyone suggest a way to get around this or disable this so that the customer doesn't have to keep clearing out the job history to keep printing?
Thanks,
Jonathan
