Great suggestion. Took about 5 minutes.
I would accept as solution if I could find the button.
For people who don't want to call, go the Mac's System Preferences | Printers and Scanners.
Use the remove (negative sign) button to get rid of the Xerox printer. Then press add. Select the printer (this assumes your printer is visible on the network). Select the IP button (middle icon in the upper left of the little window.) Input the IP address of your printer (10.0.0.xxx. for example - you can get it from the Configuration Report under "network settings" - refer to your manual for printing from the printer's butons). Select the HP Link option in the pull down window towards the bottom. Type in a useful name and location, if you want. And you're good. (I am reciting this from memory, but I think I'm close enough).
Thanks again, Cathy!
Hello celderkin,
If that didn't help, you may want to contact support and speak with a Network Specialist for some in depth troubleshooting: 1-800-821-2797.
PS I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver as you suggested. No afffect, still printing symbols
I am having the exact same problem.
I have unistalled and reinstalled Easy Printer Manager, with no effect.
The MacBook prints the same file just fine on the HP printer, so I believe it is the Xerox printer.
One idea is to upgrade firmware, but I cannot do that since I lost my Admin password and have yet to figure that problem out yet.
Perhaps you can try and let us know.
Thanks,
Hello cm8032,
Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the Xerox Print driver?
