Re: KB5007186 - KB5006670 Updates causing a lot of problems

Finally, I've solved the problem adding this registry key on the client.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Printers\PointAndPrint]
"RestrictDriverInstallationToAdministrators"=dword:00000000

Bye.

Hi,

Yes, we don’t receive many complaints anymore about these problems.
Windows also released some fixes, I suggest to run all available Windows Updates (especially for the client PC’s)

I see no one has responded to this post yet. So, at this point I would recommend contacting your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Product Specialist for more assistance. Please call 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100.

KB5007186 - KB5006670 Updates causing a lot of problems

Product Name: Other - specify product in post
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

Hi,

Since a couple of month we experience a lot of problems while printing through a print server occuring after windows updates.
First the cause was update KB5006670 but now KB5007186 seems to be responsible for a lot of problems.
Users get several message when they try to print. 0x0000007c, 0x0000011b, no connection with printer, ... are message we get with a lot of our customers.  When you try to remove the printer and reinstall it, you can't install the device again, even when you log on with an administrator account this isn't possible.
Do you guys have a solutions for this (other driver, ...).

Kind regards,

Mattias
