Re: Likely a firmware problem with the printer

This reset is...
The first is to just reboot the printer without pressing the power button on the printer.
The second is the same as the first, but resets the network settings (if previously changed from default).

I found only one way:
1) Guess the region that was uploaded to the printer
2) Buy a new chip for the given color with the given region
3) Replace the chip in the toner cartridge with the purchased one

If you guessed the region correctly, the cartridge is unlocked and you can print. If he guessed incorrectly, repeat the procedure with another region.

Likely a firmware problem with the printer

Product Name: Phaser 6022
Operating System: Linux

The Xerox Phaser 6022 printer does not accept genuine toner after a non-genuine toner has been tried. From what I found on the internet, it seems that there may be a problem with the region. Is there any way to:
a) reset the printer to factory settings (either by disassembling the printer or by software)
b) reset/delete region

Sorry if I asked in the wrong thread.
