Hi Js983e,

Yes that is the primary purpose of the tool is to limit access to the machine by capping the number of pages that can be printed, copied etc.

Thanks,

Can XSA be set up strictly as a "limitation" tool?

Re: Limiting the number of pages a user can print

Hi js983e,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Using this solution for Xerox Standard Accounting you can set a maximum number of pages that can be printed.  I am not aware of a history report available on the machine but to confirm please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,

Limiting the number of pages a user can print

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Currently i run a number of Colorqube products, mostly 9301-9303's.

Typically we are pretty lax about what people are printing, wether it be bank statements, a photo of their children etc... But at the same time everyone knows not to print 300 full color 12x18 photos to send out with their xmas cards and to pretty much use common sense.

Just recently it was brought to our attention that we had a user who was doing all their printing for their personal business on our network printers for example, a 2000+ page legal document, 1 sided, high quality, full color multiple times. We are not sure how long this has been going on but Human Resources asked if it was something we could look back and track print traffice. With that said, Audit Logging is another feature we decided to move away from due the the nature and security requirements of our business.

We are doing our best to avoid setting user permissions on color printing alone.

So i have two questions:

1) Can you set a maximum number of pages people can print?

2) Is there any way to get job history off the hard drive other than Audit Log?

Thanks for everyones time!
