My trusty Xerox 3260 has given up its wireless connection now that my MacBook's upgraded to Sonoma. The wireless workaround mentioned elsewhere in this thread does not function with the 3260. WILL XEROX SUPPORT SONOMA WITH AN UPGRADED DRIVER for the 3260 so it can work wirelessly again? Very disappointing.... (The 3260 works fine with its USB connection, but now our other computer, a PC, can't print wirelessly either.)
Exactly what I did, but then the printer said: software missing… when I tried to print. Choosing the 7500 driver worked; but that could give unwanted results in certain circumstances.
When you run the installer, choose continue instead of picking a printer and just install the files wothout adding a printer. Then press the plus to add a printer and choose the network option up top( looks kinda like a globe) and type the IP of the printer. Change IPP to LPD and put lp for the queue name then rename the printer to whatever you want
What I did now is select the Phaser 7500 and that seems to work.
Still strangely enough the 7100 is missing from the list: maybe an idea to add this model in a future upodate of the installer.
Hello Pajako,
I searched the compatibility doc and it says Drivers developed for previous Apple OS versions may be compatible. I am not sure why your product is not showing up. It may be best to speak with Support for more help: 1-800-821-2797.
I am using a Phser 7100DN with my MacBook M1 (MacOS Ventura 13.6; looking to upgrade to Sonoma 14.0 in the near future).
I see that there is a new printerdriver 15.4 (I am currently using 5.13.2).
When I use the installer the latest installer-app it gives the error saying that my printer-model is not found. The 7100 is also not present in the popup list.
What am I doing wrong?
