Re: Multiple printer names in Windows

Hi sclg,

it seems that in some how the printer was added 3 times

so delete 2 and keep 1 which is last one was working fine to you

then do these settings to the one which you kept

Go to settings >printer & scanners > click on your printer driver > manage > printer properties >port

***make sure the IP Address is correct

Multiple printer names in Windows

Product Name: Xerox B215 Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

Recently got a B215 and installed it in wireless mode.

In W10 Settings - Printers and Scanners, 3 entries appear:
Xerox B215 (XRX9C934EAFC88)
Xerox B215 Multifunction Printer
Xerox B215 Multifunction Printer (Copy 1)

I don't have a problem with that. The Brother printers I've had for years used to do the same.
BUT... which one of these actually works and prints to the physical printer keeps changing!

Last week the printer stopped kept saying it was offline. Eventually I found that printing to 'Xerox B215 Multifunction Printer (Copy 1)' worked so I changed the default printer to that.
Today it stopped again - saying offline. It now works if I print to 'Xerox B215 (XRX9C934EAFC88)' - which didn't work last week!

Seriously tempted to send it back but thought I'd ask here first to see if anyone has any ideas what's going on??

Thanks
