Google - Xerox class action lawsuit Neala's. That should lead you to where you need to go.
Anyway You can give me info on getting connected with that lawsuit
Are you in HOuston? I can give you a black toner and drum if you have a magenta
Thank you for the humidity tip James! I do run a humidifier here and it’s easy enough to increase the humidity, so I’ll give it a try. Lost another drum today because of spots, at least this one made it to 26% of life.
Agreed with why upgarde for the same headaches.
We get holes in drums very quickly. I recently brought the humidity up in our print room. It seems to help quite a bit. Winter is always tough with humidity. We have forced hot air so its even worse.
Low humidity also brings with it higher staic charge in the air. The v180's already have static disapation issues with the belt and especially the cleaning blade. Anything to bring humidity up helps with lowering the staic.
Also the higher humidity makes the color pop a lot more.
It’s a shame, the 280 is a good machine with some nice improvements. I started the day having to pull a drum that had a large spot on it and it still had 96% life left. Xerox knows this is a problem and they cannot blame it on supply chain issues. Why would you replace your v180’s with v280’s if you know you’re going to have the same problems, you’ll get something else from another vendor.
The longer they hold off admitting publicly they have a major manufacturing problem, the more damage they do. But it will give some stock holders a chance to sell before everything hits bottom.
For now I have drums and toner on the shelf but I need 3 times what I have just to keep up with the failures.
I am in the same situation. We have 2 v180's. No drums for either. Running out of toner All the drums are shot.
We have been having drum issues for 6 months now. We put new ones in and they all of a suden get holes in them. The techs said its a known issue that xerox is working on. They have no idea whats wrong.
We were instructed to order online and then send our salesman the order numbers so that he can try to expidite the shipments of drums. It has worked twice. This past week though he hasnt been able to get us drums.
We are dead in the water.
We are aproching our lease term end. For the first time in 10 years I am looking at other then Xerox. Xerox is to big for its own good. One dept. doesnt know what the other is doing and they are to unresponsive. Xerox is ruining the good reputation they used to have by not addressing supply issues and know faults. Its a shame.
Try your sales rep with your order numbers.
Good luck
