Re: Network printing problem

It isn't the printer (other people are printing) and for the same reason, it isn't the LAN or the driver at fault, and since it is at least 2 different protocols but only from 1 computer, it would imply a broken spooler in Windows, which will mean a reload of Windows, or at least a system restore or repair.

You may get away with sharing a working printer from another PC and connecting to that printer from the broken PC, in which case the spool would be handled by the working PC, but of course that other PC would have to always be on.

But you need to uncheck the LPR byte counting and SNMP boxes.

Hi,

Most of the issues with non printing jobs and „Offline” messages are from driver settings.

First check to see if  there is no job in the print queue (delete any job if exist).

As per Joe053204-xrx advice check the port to be on TCP/IP and not WSD. MS convert the port to WSD. If it is so, click right on the print driver and click on „Printer Properties”, click on „Ports” tab, click on „Add port”, select „Standard TCP/IP port” , click on „New port” and set an IP and in the next window click „Finish”.

After that click again on ''Ports'' tab click on "Configure port" and change from  RAW to LPR, at the Queue name write "lp" and be sure to unchecked "LPR Byte Counting Enable" and "SNMP Status Enabled".

Network printing problem

Product Name: AltaLink B8145 / B8155 / B8170 Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

I can no longer print to my Altalink B8055 from one PC.  I can print to a desktop printer and other network printers just not the B8055.  Other users are having no issues printer to this device.  I have deleted and reinstalled the printer driver as well as the TCP port.  Any ideas would be appreciated.
